Well darlings, the recurring p...guest is Harold, a 19 year old that Neela breaks the news about her latest patient to, thinking he's the man's son. She's dismayed when he seems unmoved by his critical condition and the difficult surgery. Not sure if he makes it better or worse by telling her his dad is dead and he's not any patient's son, he's her new intern.

Make that Dr. Harold Zelinsky. He's so very smart and qualified, showing off for Neela, even though she's being extra mean to him on Crenshaw's orders. Then dears, she has to find him all mopey and upset and telling someone on the phone he was going to quit and Neela being so very tenderhearted tells him she'll be much nicer to him.

Of course she'll regret it just as soon as he starts acting like she's the big sister he maybe never had. Harold has a girlfriend. She's 17 and one of the homecoming queen's court and he has to take her to the prom. But being an over-eager super-smart teenage doctor/stereotype, how long do you think it takes Harold to overshare with poor beleaguered Neela that he's a virgin who badly needs sex and dating advice and pester her with all sorts of uncomfortable questions in front of every other staff member of the ER? Right, about as long as it took me to type that out.

There's another recurring role -- Julia, the hospital chaplain, who intrigues Gates.

Lena and Sophia are identical twins in their 20's. Their dad Vincent is Morris' and Abby's patient.

The name of this ep is "Under the Influence"

This ep starts filming on the 29th.

No sign of Abby drinking, but she is sleepy, pops a couple of aspirin and is totally bothered by a patient's kid who is making too much noise banging an emesis basin on a bed siderail.

Luka's in this ep.

And Abby does have a hangover.

They're really pulling out all the hangover stops on this one: Abby gets a light shone in her eyes, loud noises, smells that make her nauseous ..

She's also having trouble remembering the names of tests she wants to order.

As for Luka, he is in Croatia. He calls Abby from his father's house while a construction worker is putting in a ramp for his father's wheel chair.

Abby's not really listening to Luka, she's getting Joe up and getting him milk etc.

Luka explains that he never returned her calls because he was with his dad. Luka did call County though to get the info on Joe.

Abby has the weight of the world on her shoulders.

We also get Morris having phone sex with Hope (he finishes the call behind closed doors)

Crenshaw is from Connecticut.

Moretti is around.

Kayson is mentioned, don't know if we see him.

Harold tries to tell people he is 25, no one is buying it.

In the teaser, Neela thinks Harold is the son of a man who had a heart attack, but no, he’s her new intern. The staff, including Sam and Frank, to start, ponder how old Harold is. Neela thinks he said he was 25 and Morris is determined to find out Harold’s real age. He asks Harold for his drivers license, but when Harold says he doesn’t have one and uses the El, Morris thinks Harold is crafty. Meanwhile, Harold is all science and not good with human emotions. Neela is strict with Harold, and over the day, it upsets him greatly. When Neela discovers how upset Harold is at the “mean demeanor” she has been instructed to give, she confesses to him that she doesn’t like it either. Crenshaw approaches and she tells Harold to “play along.” In front of Crenshaw, Neela is mean and nasty and Harold does in fact, play along. Crenshaw is impressed.

Sam and Gates treat Bevan who fell asleep at the wheel with his pregnant girlfriend, Traci, in the car. He’s working two jobs and so took some speed in order to stay awake, insisting it was just this once. He says he wants to be a good dad. Traci is being treated by Neela and Harold. She is worried for her baby. Harold thinks the woman has contracted an infection from her job as a pre-school teacher.

Traci needs a blood transfusion for the baby because of the infection. Traci laments that at first she didn’t want the baby, but Bevan stepped up and convinced her they’d do it together. But now Bevan can’t be at her side as he has his own medical problems, and she’s mad at him because he took some speed. So Traci approves the procedures, Coburn does it, and at the end, it seems that all turns out well.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kayson discharges Bevan and Gates cancels those orders when he discovers the man’s real problem. Morettti is about to berate him when the patient deteriorates. We don’t know, but I think things turn out okay because later Traci wants to go see Bevan.

Morris is being tempted all episode long – someone personally brings him some antibiotics and gives him a personal invitation. The high-heeled woman makes him nervous and he trades with Abby. And upon treating a man with boils, Morris meets the man’s daughter who is beautiful and sells luxury cars. While Morris obviously fingers his ring, he blurts out that he’s not married, but somehow must tell the woman he is not interested. Later he meets the identical twin of the first and they tell him they work together by saying they do everything together. He’s trying to be good. And he is good but cranky after the opportunity passes by. And then Morris gets to talk to Hope, and while finding seclusion in an empty ambulance, he gets to talk naughty with her.

Gates meets Julia, a chaplain who doesn’t look like a chaplain – diamond stud nose stud, and she figures out Gates pretty quickly. She goes into be with Traci and they pray together. Gates notices Julia’s tattoo and inquires more because Julia seems to be a contradiction. Her advice to Traci was that the only way out is through, and talks about how she has a spiritual life but lives in the real world. She suggests Gates should try it sometime.

Before going into work, Abby gets a phone call from Luka. He was stuck at the hospital with his dad and unable to call her, but had called County and gotten the word that Joe’s MRI was fine. His dad’s spinal fracture has left him unable to walk, and Luka is remodeling his father’s house to handle the hospital equipment. Luka is explaining all of this while Abby takes care of Joe, the weight of the world on her, not really listening to him.

Arriving at work, we are told Abby has a hangover – she is sleepy and needs aspirin but willing to get to work. Abby takes Traci who is at about 20 weeks. She is able to catch a nap at some point but Moretti notices. Abby takes a 55 year-old personal trainer who has a boil on his thigh and upper arm. Just as draining the boils becomes nauseating to Abby, Morris asks her to trade and take a woman who needs to stop wearing high heels. While treating this one, another patient’s child bangs on an emesis basis. The noise starts to get to Abby and she "expresses her frustration" by asking the mother to stop the child.

HUGS NOT DRUGS-STANLEY TUCCI ("THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA" GUEST STARS-- Moretti (guest star Stanley Tucci) decides that Gates (John Stamos) has done an impressive job in the ICU and is now ready to return to the ER. Neela (Parminder Nagra) learns how to manage people when she is assigned to mentor Harold, a young genius intern (Steven Christopher Parker). With Hope (Busy Phillps) away, Morris is having a hard time resisting the ladies. Meanwhile, Abby (Maura Tierney) struggles to keep her life together with Kovac (Goran Visnjic) gone to Croatia. Mekhi Phifer and John Stamos also star.
